Copenhagen After Hours

Renowned for its culinary scene and rich cultural offerings, Copenhagen is a paradise for food enthusiasts and history buffs alike. What truly surprises many is Copenhagen's vibrant nightlife. As nightfall comes, the city comes alive with bustling bars, chic cocktail lounges and pulsating nightclubs, offering something for every adventurer.

Starting off our list we have Chateau Motel, a haven and nightclub for enthusiasts of endless dancing and wide varieties of music. With four floors each offering different amenities, ranging from dj’s to themes, this multi-level hotspot promises an unforgettable experience if you are into clubbing. Outside of the electric dance floors there is a courtyard, where the possibilities of meeting people are endless. Conversation, cocktails and a good vibe; what more could a nocturnal adventurer want?

For those more into the laid back bar scene, with a hint of disco and dance floor, The Jane is meant for you. Underground and in the center of the city, right off of Strøget, The Jane has that ambiance that you crave after a long day. Sit by the bar and drink an espresso martini or light a cigarette in the smoke room — this swanky spot really has it all.

Curfew Bar is all but boring; a speakeasy themed bar close to the center city, it's both instagram worthy and different from your normal night out. Knock on the front door and pull a book out of the door to gain entry. As you step inside, you’re enveloped by a dim yet cool ambiance that makes you want to stay there all night. With fun drinks in funky glasses, it's definitely a spot you will want to come back to.

A Copenhagen classic, HIVE is a high-end nightclub bringing together people of all ages, on Thursdays a large influx of 18-20 year olds, and on Fridays and Saturdays, 21+. HIVE has a membership option, which is a huge money saver when going out on a weekly basis. With bottle service, tables and numerous bars, it is the spot if you want a unique but fancy nightclub experience.

And, the best for last, Søpavillonen. Situated between Peblinge Lake and Sankt Jørgens lake in the center of the city, Søpavillonen really is the perfect nightclub. Two stories high, with a lakeside view, it feels straight out of a movie. To beat the long lines, get there early and even consider going to one of the many cocktail parties that offer free drinks before the venue opens to all.
