Fashion Industries Branching Into Home Decor

Fashion and home decor have always been connected. In fact, Fashion Week sets the tone for home decor’s International show in High Point, North Carolina, where the latest trends are revealed. Whether it’s a show for the home or fashion, there are several large events per year revealing next season’s trends. With all of the 70’s vibes in fashion, it makes sense that bamboo light fixtures and hippie inspired wall hangings dominated the fall home decor show. Some fashion brands have taken notice of their influence on the home and decided to venture into new categories.

Louis Vuitton merges home and fashion with their minimalistic candles. These candles seem more like purses with their sleek leather handles. They perfectly emulate the Vuitton brand with their sleek style accented by gold and leather. Keeping true to their designer roots, these candles are a hefty $185. If there was ever a time to save a used-up candle, it would be now!

Gucci has topped the charts in the fashion industry, so it was only a matter of time before they expanded. Their beautiful GG Jacquard armchair collection has the same luxurious feel and iconic pattern. It comes with a designer price tag of $5,500, but who wouldn’t want to sit like a queen in their Gucci. They also offer wallpaper, candles, incense sticks, pillows, and even fine china. Just imagine an entire room full of Gucci!

I thought an Ugg blanket was a fancy addition to your bed, until now…Versace has an entire bedding collection. Everything from your sheets to your comforter to your pillow cases can be covered in silk Versace, you can literally cuddle with Versace! Of course, this comes at a designer price. The comforter alone costs $5,075, but that’s the price of being a queen.

Last, but not least is the lighting collection from Fendi. They have an entire section of their website labelled “Su Casa,” full of outdoor and indoor designs. Their lighting collection matches their sense of fashion. Their pieces are modern, sleek, and one-of-a-kind, becoming the focal point of any room.
