Q: What is your staple fashion item?
A: At the moment, my staple fashion item is a pair of statement sneakers or baggy cargo pants.
Q: What do you never leave the house without?
A: I never leave the house without my gold bracelet. I got it in Florence with my mom and it holds a lot of sentiment to me. It reminds me of the best memories. It’s the best piece of dainty jewelry to compliment any outfit.
Q: What trend would you never try?
A: The trend I would never try are biker shorts. They look awesome on certain body types, but are definitely not the move for me.
Q: Who is your fashion icon?
A: My fashion icon is Maggie Macdonald. I’m a huge YouTube fan and her content is always amazing.
Q: What is your favorite store to shop at/what are you shopping for right now?
A: My favorite store to shop at is LF or Princess Polly. At the moment, I’m searching for a unique detail-embellished denim jacket.
Q: Flats or heels?

Meet Sydney
You can count on Sydney to wear the coolest pieces, making everyone ask where she got them from!
Q: What is your staple fashion item?
A: Anything colorful and/or a bold pattern tends to be my go to.
Q: What do you never leave the house without?
A: Accessories. I refuse to leave my room without earrings in, a few necklaces on and a purse over my shoulder.
Q: What trend would you never try?
A: Although I love bright, electric colors, personally I don’t think I will ever get on the orange color trends. With my coloring, orange simply isn’t a color that works for me.
Q: Who is your fashion icon?
A: Jennifer Aniston, especially her looks in Friends, has always inspired me. Both as an individual and fashion icon, she has always been someone I looked up to.
Q: What is your favorite store to shop at/what are you shopping for right now?
A: I love to go thrifting, I love finding accessories like belts and purses there. As a college student without a car, I tend to rely a lot on online shopping. My go to stores are Princess Polly and ASOS.
Q: Flats or heels?
A: Depends on the occasion, but really any shoes that scream “extra” and draw attention to my outfits!
Q: What is your favorite trend for spring?
A: In the spring especially, I love the bold color trend. As the weather gets nicer and moods improve, fun and bright colors are also my go-to.
Meet Mary
Edgy and classy, Mary knows how to style clothes like no other. Read on to learn her tricks.
Q: What is your staple fashion item?
A: My favorite staple fashion item is a small necklace or ring. I’ll go through phases wearing the same one everyday for a month. It’s a low effort way to take a simple outfit up a notch.
Q: What do you never leave the house without?
A: I never leave the house without a hair tie, which lately has been in the form of a scrunchy. For the past year I’ve been obsessed with them because I can keep them on my wrist, but they’re more fashionable than a black band and they still get the job done.
Q: What trend would you never try?
A: I don’t know if there’s a trend I would never try...At different points in my life I remember saying that I would never wear denim on denim or a matching top and bottom, but monochromatic outfits and sets are really popular. The “jean look” is definitely one of my go-to’s now because you can dress jeans up or down and easily throw a jean jacket over anything.
Q: Who is your fashion icon?
A: There are too many fashion icons to name, but if I had to pick one it would definitely be Iris Apfel. She’s a 97 year old woman who’s known for her incredible style and signature glasses.
Q: What is your favorite store to shop at/what are you shopping for right now?
A: My favorite store to shop at is definitely Urban Outfitters. They have clothes that fit my taste, but they also give me ideas on how to style unique pieces or how to wear basic pieces in a different way.
Right now I’m on the market for a sheer dress or skirt. I’m really into the idea of wearing a tight layer like a cami dress or biker shorts with a loose, tulle piece over it--I think it’s really different from any other trends I’ve seen and it’s something I’d love to try out.
Q: Flats or heels?
A: Flats! Not to say I don’t own tons of heels, but I think flats are so much more comfortable and right now there’s almost a compromise between the two with how popular platform shoes have become.
Q: What is your favorite trend for spring?
A: My favorite trend for spring is the bright color palette everyone is exploring. We’re so used to seeing pastels make their rounds this time of year, but all of those subtle colors are making an appearance on the runway in their most bold hues--neon yellows, greens, pinks, oranges, bright reds and blues. I’m especially loving these colors in nylon fabrics. Pieces like bandeaus and bike short sets, tight rompers, jumpsuits and joggers, and all of the different types of small bags that have been surfacing, like fanny packs and cross body bags.
