Trend Report: Color Blocking Eye Makeup

Halloween has come to a close, but the holiday season is gearing up! So don’t put away that fun colored makeup just yet. You could always go for the natural, glowing winter makeup that we all know and love, but why not go for something a little more fun?

We have probably all owned a color block sweater at some point in our lives, so we all know what it looks like. But what does color block actually mean? Color blocking is taking two or more colors from opposite sides of the color wheel and incorporating them within the same outfit or single piece of clothing. This definition does not pair well when it comes to makeup, but for the sake of simplicity, that will have to do. 

One celebrity makeup artist who does this very well is Mary Phillips. Phillips is famous for creating stunning makeup looks for celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Hailee Steinfeld, Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, and so many more! Phillips has perfected the California glow in every look she creates. One of the most interesting looks she has created is the color blocking eye look that she did on Kendall Jenner.
