The Anti-Bottle Built for Anything

Kylee Hebert ‘22 came into contact with Vapur during a summer internship with a health and wellness public relations firm in Los Angeles. Vapur became one of the firm’s clients towards the end of the summer and Hebert has been working with the company ever since.

Started in 2009 by 3 Californian outdoorsman, Vapur water bottles were meant to “reduce the impact of single use plastic bottles as well as aid adventurers in being hydrated in a more convenient and flexible way,” explains Hebert. “The vessel carries almost no weight besides the water it holds and when you’re done with the water, you can roll it up to be smaller than your cell phone.”

Hebert also highlighted how the “Vapur Anti-Bottles are affordable, dishwasher safe, durable, and freezable,” which allows the users to have the freedom to do almost anything with their vessel.

Vapur is an environmentally conscious company and donates a portion of its proceeds to organizations such as the National Parks Conservation Association, The Continental Divide Trail Coalition, and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. The company is also involved with “humanitarian causes including High Fives, which raises injury prevention awareness among mountain action sports athletes, and their own foundation called Drops of Hope.”

Hebert did not originally intend to gain publicity for the company on campus. “I got my bottle this summer I just used it like I would use my old water bottles and then I found myself being complimented almost every day on how ‘cool’ my water bottle was,” she explained.

Hebert also serves as the Wellness Chair for Kappa Delta sorority, and had a great idea to give the Anti-Bottles exposure and to promote hydration and wellness. Bottles were distributed to the sorority and are now frequently spotted around Elon’s campus.
