Patterns That Go Wild
What comes to mind when you think of a punchy, statement-making favorite? Animal Print. We know, maybe you thought all nine lives had been lived by the leopard, but the kitty isn’t done yet.
Cheetah print isn’t the only trending animal print through. Designers have their eyes on everything from snakeskin to zebra to tiger prints. Designers are using this textile to make intricate and unique statement pieces ranging from bomber jackets to skater skirts.
They aren’t stopping at just these new animal prints, but also becoming adventurous with adding vibrant colors. In case the animal print itself didn’t stand out enough, designers are working with colors such as electric blue, fierce red, and a vivid yellow to bring the print to life. Anything from neutral tones to vibrant hues is fair game in this new animal print movement.
These prints, not one in particular, are so in trend that everyone needs an animal-printed piece in their wardrobe. Opposed to popular brief, animal prints can essentially work as neutrals. Despite that fact that these prints are bold, they actually can serve as a starter point in which you can create any outfit out of. So what should you actually be snatching up to create an animal print ‘fit that is fit for a runway?
The Basics:
A basic, staple animal print that is recognizable by all, yet will have you standing out in a crowd. Zebra print, as an example, is made up of basic colors but the pattern itself is edgy and cool.
Basics with a twist:
The color says it all. Feeling confident and want your outfit to stand out just that much more? Basics prints with a twist of color is the way to go. Search the shops for animal print with a hint of rad red to pair with your favorite sunnies on a day spent outside.
Accessories:
Purse, belts, shoes, whatever, add some of the wildness excitement to highlight your outfits. My new favorite shoe trend has been mules. Mules come in a ton of different animal prints, and the shape of the footwear makes it perfect for business casual, or paired with your favorite skinny jeans for a night out with friends.
