5 Spring Break MUST HAVES!
Spring break cannot come soon enough but for many, myself included, the thought of packing makes me regret my decision to go on a trip in the first place. Thinking about all the things I have to do and get in order stresses me out and makes me more anxious than I am excited for my beach getaway.
Before I even begin packing, I always make sure to look at the weather for the week. This is important when deciding whether or not to bring a raincoat, a heavy jacket, etc. My packing process starts a few days before I even begin to pack so I can list out all the outfits/ clothes I think I’m going to bring. This has reduced my stress and made it easier for me to remember everything.
Here I have listed 10 of my spring break “must haves” that I either forget at home or wish I bring more of when I get to the beach!!
1. Extra Razor: There is nothing worse than getting to the beach and seeing that you forgot to shave a spot on your leg and then realizing you forgot your razor! Pack an extra just in case one breaks so you don’t have to run to the store instead of laying out on the beach.
2. Hat: Beach hat, baseball cap, it really doesn’t matter which, but make sure to throw a hat into your suitcase regardless of whether or not you think you are going to wear it. Chances are, going into your fifth day at the beach, you will be tired and burnt and wanting a hat to keep your peeling face out of the sun.
3. Extra phone charger: I’ve been on several vacations where my phone charger breaks or my friends/ family forget theirs. Coming prepared with an extra phone charger will a) make you look like a hero b) keep you from freaking out when your phone is at 6% and you want that cute picture on the beach.
4. Sunscreen: No one is too cool for sunscreen. Chances are it will help you get more tan because you won't burn and peel! It’s important to bring your own incase the hotel or resort you are staying at doesn’t have any!
5. Waterproof speaker: This is a great investment if you don’t already have one! It’s so relaxing to sit on the beach and listen to music while you tan or play in the water! Not all waterproof speakers are super expensive. You can find cheaper ones that are under $100.
