Glossier is a beauty brand that's developed what can only be described as a cult following. Products such as “Boy Brow” and “Cloud Paint” are dominating the makeup world. Glossier’s consumer-focused business model and irresistable aesthetic make it almost impossible to not hop on the bandwagon. On February 22nd, Glossier announced through an Instagram post that they would be releasing a brand extension called “Glossier Play.” After about a week of the usual Internet buzz, on March 4th, Emily Weiss, founder and CEO of Glossier finally introduced the brand as “a new approach to makeup that’s inspired by sound, motion, and fun.” While maintaining their simple design, Glossier introduced the new set of products as an extension to further opportunities for customers to express themselves.
These new textures and bright colors are the perfect pop of color for a night out. Glossier hopes their makeup can motivate individualized choice and allow people to express their individual style. I’ve compiled a breakdown of each of the four products for you.
