Coachella Beauty Looks 2019

Coachella is known to be as one of the biggest festival weekends of the year. Held in Indio, California, Coachella boasts hundreds and thousands of attendees. Beyond the music, the festival has somewhat turned into an Instagram challenge for who can put together the best look for Days 1, 2, and 3. Men and women from all over show off their fashion and beauty style to achieve the perfect Instagram post.

Coachella fashion and beauty styles change year to year, however since they are one of the first festivals of the season they set the precedent for trends. This article will take a look at the most popular beauty trends from this year’s festival.

Glowing Skin

The one thing that has stayed consistent regarding festival trends is clear, beautiful skin. For most girls this is a trend for concert season as well as everyday life. In the desert where Coachella is held, the temperatures during the day at this time of year are reaching the 90s. That means making sure your skin is moisturized as well as using sunscreen before any makeup step is crucial to maintain that healthy glow.

As I mentioned the desert is hot and with the amount of people attending each set, it only gets hotter. Wearing a light layer of makeup is best to avoid the cake face look that heavy foundations can give. Highlighter is also a must have so when you take that Instagram picture the light hits you just right.

To get this festival look on an everyday basis, try a foundation or CC Cream that dries down to a satin finish. It will make your skin look healthy and hydrated with ease.

Bold Brows

The 1990’s thin brow craze and the kind of bold brow we now see at Coachella have many stark differences. Besides just the size of the brow, messy brows are also in. Yes of course there are still the classic chiseled out Insta-brows that grew to be famous over the past few years, but that’s not the only type of brow that was on display at Coachella ‘19. The brushed up, just rolled out of bed brow is popular because it gives the face depth and shape when going for a more neutral eye look. To achieve this look, the spoolie will be your best friend. Use the spoolie to get the desired messiness, and top it off with either colored or clear eyebrow gel to hold them in place.

Your Lip, But Better

As far as lips go, nude is the go to shade. Since it’s a new season less girls are going for the vampy reds and deep purples and steering more towards light mauves, pinks and nudes. The term that has been going around to describe this type of nude is “your lips, but better.” The idea behind it is that the nude you choose is similar to your natural color, but essentially better. Whether you achieve this by using a gloss, lipstick, or a liner, the essence is to enhance the natural color of your lips and give it a healthy boost. Obviously nude is different for everyone so if you try this out in your everyday don’t be afraid to go a little darker or a little lighter than your natural lip.

Wispy Lashes

The trend this year as far as “natural” looks went was to go for a wispy fake eyelash or wispy eyelash extensions. While many girls opt for sunglasses, the eyes are still crucial to the final look. It is no surprise that eyelash extensions have made their mark and seem to be here to stay. But for those of us without eyelash extensions, fake lashes are the closest thing available to attain this look. The good thing about eyelash extensions are that after a long day in the desert with all the dust flying around you can just take them off and start fresh the next day. If you are looking for an everyday option, try layering mascaras and running a spoolie through them! The spoolie will separate the lashes and layering will help to build them up.
