Supreme Honors Urban Classics in Fall/Winter Drop Preview

The New York based brand Supreme has just released a fall/winter collection preview that couldn't be cooler. The pieces range from trench coats to varsity jackets, showing that classic streetwear never goes out of style.

The immediate standout piece is a refreshing take on the puffer coat, featured in bright yellow and paired with a pleather black collar. It maintains the traditional snap closures on both of the pockets and wrists. The style is also made versatile with versions in tartan blue, for a funkier look, and black, for a sleeker feel.

While the Supreme Puffy Jacket serves as an on-trend transition from fall to winter, there are more pieces worth mentioning. The collection's basic leather jacket is a major standout. This piece, resembling one worn by the Notorious B.I.G in the mid-1990s, brings back the urban classic style that streetwear is rooted in.

The late rapper’s jacket is layered over an all-black suit ensemble and gold jewelry, while Supreme styles the jacket with a multicolored sweater from the collection. Still, both looks give a vibe of classic streetwear with an edge.

Continuing with the leather jacket theme, Supreme adds even more fire to their collection with this next piece (no, seriously). A fiery 8-ball appears on the back of a bright red leather jacket and brings back those childhood days of shaking a magic 8-ball toy after posing random questions. 

This design transforms the basic varsity jacket into a vibrant piece that could easily be styled with chunky boots and ripped jeans!

Finally, one of the more controversial pieces in the Supreme collection is a washed denim jacket that displays the phrase “supreme is love”. 

The face of a soldier appears beside the lettering and covers the front of the jacket. The design appears to respond to a war-driven country in a way that promotes peace instead of warfare. This jacket is definitely one that stands out in the collection. Not only does it provide a bold statement but does so while contributing a fashion-forward piece.
