We Dressed Like Bratz Dolls for a Day
Throwback to the days when you would live out your imagination vicariously through your Bratz Dolls. Decades later, here we are turning to our trendy doll idols for this season’s winter fashion inspiration. While their outfits prove to be extravagant we recreated them in an everyday trendy look for you to wear and stay stylish during the chilly days, or just some inspo if you’re looking to flex on Barbie lovers.
Look one:
We were living for this sparkly look paired with sassy accessories. For our look, we paired a black lace-up skirt, with a long sleeve red mock neck crop top, accessorized with a red headband and a cheetah print scrunchie to make the look trendier.
Look two:
We loved this purple monochromatic look and the variety of textures it had. For our look, we opted for a purple bodycon paired with a long purple teddy coat. This look is perfect to wear to a holiday party, as the long teddy coat will keep you warm in the brisk air, but you’ll be ready to dance in your mini dress underneath.
Look three:
We’ve learned that an iconic staple to any Bratz look is an unusual hairdo. Half up half down styles are perfect to keep hair out of your face, but something about this lop-sided bun with a side sweep didn’t quite do that for me. This doll paired a white and black skirt with a plain white tee and a fluffy blue coat. Nothing says brat like a fluffy coat, just saying.
Look four:
I see a pattern with Bratz dolls, and it’s their love for the color purple. This leather dress and mesh shirt combo gives off biker and street vibes, but the ponytails are innocent enough that your mom will still let you buy this doll. This outfit can easily be recreated for a costume party with a quick trip to the craft store, or dressed down with a colorful belt and some dainty necklaces.
Move over Barbie, we are totally feeling this Bratz fashion. If you recreate any of their statement outfits, or create your own you think the dolls would approve of, we would love to see it! Tag us @theedgemag or #elonootd to be featured.
