Fall Bucket List

As the leaves are changing color, the air is getting crispier, and you’re adding layers to your OOTD, you know fall—AKA the best season to try out new activities—is in full swing.

In addition to the cooler temperatures, fall brings with it shorter days and busier schedules. Keep reading to find out ways you can fill your autumn days with fun adventures. These self-care activities focus on preparing ourselves to relieve stress and anxiety by finding new ways to take on the colorful season!

1. Visit a pumpkin patch

If there is any essential fall activity you need to try, it’s visiting a pumpkin patch. One of our favorite fall traditions is going to the local pumpkin patch, picking out our favorite pumpkin, and then coming home to carve it. You can make delicious roasted pumpkin seeds as well. Carve out funny and creative faces and show off your skills by placing them on your front porch step so your neighborhood can admire your hard work! Say goodbye to green fields and blossoming trees and hello to corn mazes and hayrides.

2. Go apple picking

Drive to your closest apple orchard with a bag to fill up with crisp apples! The best part is taking them home and trying out new recipes like a delicious fresh pie. Always remember to grab some hot apple cider and baked apple cider donuts on the way out!

3. Visit your local farmer’s market

Give back to your local community by heading to your local farmer’s market for the freshest produce around. Treat yourself by buying delicious items and making amazing recipes at home.

4. Rent a cabin

Get cozy for a much-needed seasonal fall getaway. Search Airbnb or other rental websites for cozy, rustic cabins. They’re perfect for a couple nights to escape the hustle and bustle and to take time for yourself. Many come with their own kitchens and fireplaces that allow you to unwind and take advantage of the fall season.

5. Plan a hike

The best way to see the fall foliage is from above. Grab your hiking boots and head to your closest hiking trail to take in the crisp air and colorful views.

6. Watch your favorite Halloween movies

What better way to spend a fall night than watching Halloween movies? Grab your family, friends, and some bite-sized Halloween chocolate and head to Netflix to watch the next Halloween classic on your list.
