Insta Hair Clips Have Got to Go
The hair clip trend is still lingering on Instagram, and it needs to go out of style ASAP. Though we all want to be inspired by Blair Waldorf and her hair accessories, the personalized clips and pearl clips are not desirable. Hair clips are so 90s, and there are many other fashionable ways to accessorize instead of a clip adorned with your own name pulling back your hair.
If bootcut jeans, schoolgirl skirts, and studded belts managed to make a return in the fashion industry, everything really does come back into style, whether we want it to or not.
Remember that time you were doing a closet clean out in the late 2000s and you chucked all your barrettes, headbands, hair clips, and bows? There was a reason those accessories faded out quickly, but Instagram influencers have taken the trend by storm. Designers such as Gucci, Chanel, and Dior have designed their own clips for upwards of $400.
Instagram influencer Sivan Ayla has taken on this trend, showing off her double pearl hair clip while posing with an aesthetically pleasing outfit. It didn’t take long for women to realize they didn’t need designer clips, as they are a part of every young girl's wardrobe.
These hair clips come in all different shapes, colors, sizes, and styles. The first being the classic bobby pin but with a little extra girliness. These have become so popular that they are probably all over your feed.
Pearl clips are a bit more fitting for someone who is going for a vintage, feminine style. These big clips add a lot to your hair but are too overwhelming.
Personalized hair clips have been the latest trend for influencers. BaubleBar launched these custom clips and have added a ray of colors and patterns that one can design for their clips.
Daisy clips have also sprung out to be a super popular trend, especially for the upcoming spring season.
From embellished clips to pearls, personalization, and rhinestones, these clips are coming in all different styles for the 2020 year. Though these clips are now on trend, we will look back and recall wearing our personalized name in our hair as an accessory and think it was not cute.
