Spring Break Packing List

Spring break packing is full of last-minute add-ons and switches, often making your suitcase impossible to close. Avoid the stress of stuffing your carry-on by following the list below to make sure you have packed the essentials for a beach vacation.

  1. A good beach read book

The key to the most relaxing vacation is finding the perfect book to read poolside or on the beach. Having a book that not keeps you wanting to turn each page is the most ideal. Choose a book that lets you soak up the sun and enjoy the story at the same time. Books by Elin Hilderbrand are perfect for this, as she is a Nantucket writer and knows exactly what a good beach read should be.

2. Your favorite sunglasses

Sunglasses are a necessity during beach vacations. Packing your favorite pair, or pairs, should always be at the top of your list. Investing in polarized sunglasses is what we recommend, as it’s best for your eyes.

3. Comfy and light shoes

Packing shoes that won’t be clunky and take up space in your bag is the best tip we can give. Bringing a comfy pair of sandals for a night out on the town and flip flops for the prime beach days are important. We love sandals that can be casual but can also be dressed up so you don’t have to bring more than one pair. Rainbows are the best flip flops in the game.

4. Beach bag

Bringing a beach bag with you on vacation is a MUST when preparing for beach days. Bring a bag that is fashionable and big enough to hold your towel, book, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

5. Film camera

A popular trend this year has been taking disposable film pictures. Buying cheap cameras from your local CVS will make your pictures from spring break even better. The best part of film pictures is printing them out after your trip and reminiscing on all of the fun adventures you went on.
