Miley’s New IGTV Series "Bright Minded" Is Really Brightening Our Day
Miley Cyrus released her new Instagram Live show called Bright Minded on March 16 in order to provide some positivity and light to the world among the coronavirus pandemic. The show airs at 11:30 a.m. Pacific every Monday through Friday. It is meant to focus on “staying LIT WITH LOVE in dark times,” according to Miley’s #BrightMinded Instagram story highlight. Cyrus writes that the series “WILL NOT be political, or even about the illness—it is purely for HOPE and escapism!”
We have loved Miley from the start on her Hannah Montana days and have continued loving her through her on-and-off-again romance with Liam Hemsworth and her crazy “Bangerz” phase. Miley might just be one of the strongest and most amazing celebrities of our time, and this new Instagram series proves it.
Miley has addressed that her fans, her family and everyone around the world are having a difficult time while feeling isolated and alone in this time of social distancing. Miley announced that she and her guests are “using [her] influence and platform to bring optimism while connecting from afar in a time of social distancing.” She said, “It will prove this does not mean isolation!”
So far, Miley has interviewed her therapist Dr. Daniel Amen, Demi Lovato, Amy Schumer, the cast of Love is Blind, Hailey Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres, Emily Osment (OMG… and they even reminisce on their days on Disney Channel), Reese Witherspoon, Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton, Alicia Keys, Jimmy Fallon, Elton John, Selena Gomez and many others. (Okay, so basically the most famous celebrities of our time... cool.)
Miley shares on her Instagram Live that “everyones is so quick to share the bad news, but if we could start a trend of sharing the good news and share only what is helpful and not hurtful.” I mean, what an amazing way to spend your time spreading positivity to the world in a much needed time. Good for you Miley. We can’t wait to keep watching the series and admiring you.
