Some of Airbnb’s Most Secretive Gems

In light of the current instability in the world, many people are left feeling anxious when traveling. But, those who crave a change of scenery shouldn’t feel stuck. Instead, take this as an opportunity to venture down the roads less taken.

Vacations are meant to be relaxing and inspiring, not stressful and anxiety-inducing. To combat the worries that many deal with while traveling during these uncertain times, it’s important to avoid populated cities. By opting for a quiet, more secluded space instead, hopefully some of the nerves will dissolve.

If you’re aching to travel but nervous about the uncertainty that may come with it, a private getaway may be just what you need. And we just so happen to have a few remote Airbnb options perfect for your trip.

Fossar Cabin, Iceland.

If you happen to find yourself in Iceland and are looking for a private getaway, Fossar Cabin is an amazing choice. Only 15km away from Kirkjubæjarklaustur, the cabin is located in a cove right near a lava field. Don’t worry, the volcano is no longer active!

Nearby is a sheep farm, making it the perfect place for anyone seeking a quiet, remote weekend with a chance to watch sheep meander. Fossar Cabin is a reasonable place to set up camp if you’re intending on making trips to glacier tours in Skaftafell National Park or a blue lagoon in Jökulsárlón. According to reviews on Airbnb, “It’s like staying in a fairytale, only better.” Say no more!
