Trends Expiring in 2021

The moment we all dread, when our once-favorite fashion trends are slowly getting retired. But, don’t worry, they’ll be back soon enough. Before we get started here, we have to preface by saying these are just our opinions on what we think is heading out on the trendsetter list this year. But, don’t let us stop you, fashion is meant to be fun and unique, so by all means, keep rocking those Zara raw hem jeans! This winter and fall, we’re going to see more sophisticated, simple fashion. Think classic pieces elevated by simple gold jewelry. The capsule wardrobe is in, fast fashion trends are out.

Crochet Everything

Zara really said everything crochet this spring and summer. And don’t get us wrong, the crochet look is cute and all, but it’s tired. Swap the colorful crochet for neutral knits. Crochet is really more of a summer thing anyway, big holes in shirts don't really bode well with cooler weather. Maybe we’ll see this trend again come spring 2022, but right now, store them for winter.

Tie Dye Trends

This dress and this print was everywhere for the past year, but I think it’s time for something new. Plus, who wants to own the same thing as everyone else you know? Mixing and matching solid colors will be more popular for the upcoming season and will give everyone more creativity and individuality with their style. Plus, try swapping out tight body-con dresses for loose playsuits.

Raw Hem Denim

The Zara jeans we all know and love may sadly need to be moved to the back of your closet this fall. We’re going to see a lot more denim with classic bottoms. Don’t get us wrong, skinny jeans are still dead. We’re still going to see a lot of wide leg, straight leg, cropped, and flare jeans. We’re especially loving cropped wide leg jeans with cowboy boots. We are definitely here for the cowboy boot craze right now.

Crazy Colorful Everything

This summer, it felt like color was everything. Color blocking was huge and everyone owned a pair of pink or green pants. Pops of color here and there is always fun, but again, classic neutrals are going to be more popular in the coming months.
