Recreating Pinterest Trends
Pinterest trends. We all know them, we all love them. Pinterest has been a hub for fashion trends for years now, and 2021 has been no different. From preppy school girl to grungy leather, it seems like we’ve seen it all within the past few months. “Pinterest girls” have the closets we all dream of, and yet we can never find where they get any of their cool and unique pieces! If this sounds like you, you’re in luck—we’ve found the outfits that emulate the ~cool girl vibe~ we’re all after!
Sweater vests
Sweater vests were definitely a random trend at first, but now we are living for the ~old person chic~! Sweater vests are perfect for spring time because you can layer them with a cute button-up for chillier March mornings or simply wear the vest for days when you feel like realllly looking like a walking Pinterest board! We are 100% living for this trend and hope it stays for the rest of this season!

Leather
Well you know what they say, history repeats itself. And here we are, channeling some of the most iconic looks of the 80s and 90s with our leather get-ups. Hopefully you don’t choose to wear pants as tight as Ross’ (if you know you know, and if you don’t, watch season 5 episode 11 of Friends), but that’s your choice. Leather is great to pair with textures from knit sweaters to satin crop tops. Also, who wouldn’t feel like a badass wearing leather? The answer is no one.

Baggy jeans
The evolution of styles over the years has be quite the adventure, and we are sorry to say to any millennials reading this, please do us a favor and throw away the skinny jeans. Baggy jeans have taken over and they are (hopefully) here to stay. The amount of MOVEMENT you get in baggy jeans — we could talk about it for hours. They are basically sweatpants but more socially acceptable! How great is that! Also, the versatility of baggy jeans is unmatched. You can wear a baggy shirt or sweatshirt and still make it look good OR if you’re really feelin’ it you could pair it with a tiny top to make a statement.

Brown
This is probably the most obvious trend, but it surely wasn’t obvious six months ago. Who would’ve thought the color that sticks would be BROWN?! This color trend took social media by storm and literally everyone seems to be wearing it now. At first it seems tricky to style, but this color actually goes with more than one might think . . . just try it. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

NOT flared leggings. Yoga Pants.
. . . Because that’s what they are. YOGA PANTS. We definitely didn’t expect yoga pants to be fashionable, but honestly, what a power move. Yoga pants add more interest to an outfit than boring leggings while still being incredibly comfortable to wear anytime. Thanks to miss Emma Chamberlain and that one outfit she wore with the Nike sweatshirt and the turtleneck (I know you know what we’re talking about) we are able to add these fabulous bottoms back into our everyday wear rotation.
