Retro Style Sneakers

Breaking news . . . this just in . . . vintage-style sneakers and color patterns are on our spring trend radar this season. This spring, people are going to be seen sporting footwear of the past from the newly beloved Nike Blazer Mid-77’s to Dunk Highs. Brands are also taking a retro twist to modern styles of today. For example, many of the popular styles of the 2020s now have a subtle off-white color scheme, with muted pastels and unique respective colorways of the past.

For springtime, these pieces are best paired with cut-off daisy dukes or an easy sundress. Their lightweight quality and neutral colors are easy to pair with a summer suntan and bright, exciting frills and floral.

Here are some of our favorite ways to rock these retro kicks:

The Blazer

This style has been reincarnated in a fun way with bright pops of color, cool-toned suede, and a sleek design they are easy to wear with almost anything on a warm sunny day.

Chunky Chic

Chunky styles were in style this past year, what was once considered the “dad shoe” has evolved into a trendy staple piece in both designer and affordable brands such as Balenciaga or Fila.

Dunk if you Dare

Even though they may seem a bit masculine, they can be paired with springtime, girly mini dresses, and matching sets to add a sporty, fun twist to any streetwear look.

Super Sleek in the ’70s

This Adidas classic is a fun basic for this season. Due to their lightweight feeling and comfortable toe shape, they are super wearable for every day and will elevate any look with funky color blocking.

The Classic Converse

Nothing like an old pair, or should we say new, pair of Chuck Taylor high tops.  This season, high-top Converses are back and better than ever, with a fun range of unique springtime colors.
