Mastering Colored Jewelry

It’s no secret that the fashion world loves Y2K style, so it’s time to start incorporating that into your jewelry choices too. Colorful, chunky jewelry is everything right now, so we’re here to help you master the look.

Clay Rings

If you’re reading this article right now, go to amazon and buy some polymer clay and make some clay rings with your friends! We did this on a rainy night and had the time of our lives, not to mention they turned out amazing. Chunky clay rings in bright colors are so popular right now, for obvious reasons (they’re adorable and cheap). We recommend looking on Pinterest for some inspiration! If you’re not up to the challenge of making these yourself, there’s tons of small businesses on Etsy that you can buy from!

Resin Rings

Similarly to clay rings, these are so fun and cheap, but they’re more widely available to buy. I love the bright colors you can buy these in to make any outfit pop and they don’t have the same wear and tear as silver and gold jewelry.

Y2K Beaded Necklaces

This particular “Happy Go Lucky” necklace from Martha Calvo has been everywhere lately. It’s so spunky and fun, but it’s definitely on the pricier side so content creators and small business owners have been creating dupes and selling them on Etsy. If you’re up for a project, go to your nearest Michaels and get the materials to make this on your own! There’s also so many variations of this to have fun with and make your own.

Beaded Bracelets and Anklets

Beaded bracelets are also all the rage but they’re a bit easier to make than the famous necklace. You can get a bracelet-making kit at Target, Walmart, or Michaels, and put your favorite beads on a piece of string-think summer camp 2010 vibes. You can also spell out fun words or your initials. Our biggest tip when making any of these is-the more color, the better!
