Four Podcasts to Help You Survive Any Road Trip
Whether you’re on the road by yourself or with friends, podcasts make long road trips way more bearable. Podcast episodes are usually around an hour, which also makes the time go faster. Here are four of our favorites:
1. Sal and Chris Present: Hey Babe!
Comedians Sal Vulcano (from “Impractical Jokers”) and Chris Destefano are absolutely hilarious in this podcast. They’re both Italian-American with pretty heavy New York accents, and Chris especially has some pretty crazy mob-related stories about his family. The two are clearly great friends and bounce off each other so well, so there’s never a boring moment. If you recognize the “tubberware” Tik-Tok audio, it comes from “Hey Babe!” and is just one example of how funny these guys are together. They are both successful in their own rights and have their own shows and stand-up, which are worth checking out if you love their podcast.
2. Office Ladies
If you love “The Office,” this is the perfect podcast for you. Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey (Pam and Angela, respectively) share behind-the-scenes stories, fun facts, easter eggs, and more, while breaking down episodes from the show. It’s cool to hear that they are still friends all these years later and are still in contact with everyone else from the show as well, and they clearly have so much love for the show and everyone who worked on it. “Office Ladies” is also the closest you can get to watching “The Office” without actually watching it and crashing your car.
3. My Dad Wrote A Porno
In this podcast, Jamie Morton reads aloud an erotic novel (when you listen, you’ll find that “novel” is a bit of a stretch) written by his father, with his friends James Cooper and Alice Levine. The three have so much fun and so many laughs, and because the podcast has been around since 2015, there’s plenty of binge-worthy material.
4. The Tiny Meat Gang Podcast
Fans of Cody Ko and Noel Miller likely already know this one, but if you haven’t given it a try, it’s f the same comedic chemistry that they have in the “That’s Cringe” videos, but in podcast form. For anyone unfamiliar with the two Vine-stars-turned-Youtubers, they basically poke fun at people and things happening on the internet. They’re influencers just like the people they make fun of, but they’re a little bit older and more mature, so they’re like a breath of fresh air in the craziness that is internet drama. Make sure you don’t laugh so hard you stop looking at the road, because if anyone can make you pee laughing, it’s Cody and Noel.
We love these podcasts but there are endless possibilities outside of these four. Some honorable mentions include Call Her Daddy, Zane and Heath Unfiltered, and the H3 Podcast. Even if you think podcasts are boring, trust us and give them a try!
