Hairstyles that are Worth Having on your Mood Board
Recently we’ve noticed that a lot of people are getting bangs, and not just your run of the mill straight across the forehead bangs, or the ones you cut yourself in third grade- but different variations of the curtain bang. The curtain bang became very popular between 2019 - 2020, mostly from the influence of the one and only Matilda Djerf. Matilda put curtain bangs on the map and paved the way for different variations of bang hair styles all over, let's take a look.
Recently we’ve seen Emily Ratajkowski rocking the fringed bang look, which basically resembles the curtain bangs cooler sister. According to Elle Magazine, the fringe bang look is predicted to be coming back into style, and we’ve seen celebrities such as Camilla Cabao, and Selena Gomez hopping on the trend.
Emily recently showed off her new locks with Vogue magazine.
If bangs aren’t your thing, Byrdie Magazine recently named the best hair cut of 2022, called “The Shag”. The Shag is very choppy hair with lots and lots of layers. This haircut is really popular because it can be worn with pixie length hair, long hair, and even people who have super curly hair can rock this style. To bring it back on theme, the shag cut looks great with bangs too- its official name is Tapered Shag with Bangs. The Classic Shag also includes a set of curtain bangs, as seen on Chloë Grace Moretz below.
These new hairstyles could be a fun way to shake up your break and to make some changes to your look to help bring in the New Year. What is better than a fresh new haircut! Happy holidays!
