Must Try DIY: Feather Pants
Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be challenging. Too long or too short, but don't give up! The jeans sitting in your closet begging to be worn can be given a fresh and fun look.
Don’t throw away your cropped jeans just yet; adding colorful feathers to the bottom can give them a high-fashion flare.
Although “Far-fetch,” an online luxury fashion platform, retails feathered jeans for over $1,000, this crafty and colorful project can be done at home. Amazon sells glue-on feathers ranging from five dollars to 15 dollars in every color imaginable. Fabric glue is under 20 dollars as well. Attach them to your jeans, and you are guaranteed to have a look that is cheap and chic! So kiss your Far-fetch feathers away and keep your money in the bank!
Luckily, adhering feathers can be done without sewing, a perfect craft to do in your dorm. Flip your jeans inside out and line the rim of your jeans with feathers. To secure the feathers, use fabric glue and let them dry inside out. Once dry, they are ready for wear! However, we recommend hand-washing your jeans due to the feather quality.
Have extra feathers? Adhere them to blouses, dresses, or even skirts. The opportunities are endless and so effortless! From bold to bright, get expressive with your color selections and make your jeans pop!
