If you feel like you have way too much time to rewatch episodes of New Girl or you just feel like your life at Elon could use a little flair—don’t worry, we have all been there. Here’s a look at some clubs for all skill levels that can give you a new hobby to tell your parents about.
Elon Outdoors
Ready to get out of the dorm and take in some fresh air? FYI your walk to class doesn’t count. Introducing Elon Outdoors—the organization takes trips to the water, mountains and just about everything in between. Even if you have a little trouble on anything followed by the word “hike,” Elon Outdoors has events from expert-level hikes to cooking s’mores on campus.

Danceworks
Whether you are looking to brush off your old Just Dance skills or have been dancing for years, anyone is welcome to join Danceworks for their weekly dance classes that cover a variety of styles. According to the Danceworks website, “We hold dance classes every week in a variety of styles ranging from ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, and much more hoping to get the Elon community moving!”

Everyone has different levels of commitment to their major, but if you simply can’t get enough of yours—whether it’s anthropology or classic literature—chances are there is a club to enhance your knowledge. Elon offers a wide variety of subject-based clubs that can help you learn more about your interests and connect with those who are equally as interested in anything from graphic design to public relations.
