The 94th Oscar Awards: Best Red Carpet Looks

The 94th annual Oscar Awards on March 27, 2022 had some of the most iconic looks we have seen yet. From shorts to bright red jumpsuits, we saw it all! Here are some of our favorite looks.

Ariana DeBose

DeBose won her first Oscar with her first nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She is the first openly queer, Afro-Latina woman to win an Oscar for this category. She is the second woman to win in this category playing the role of Anita in “West Side Story;” Rita Moreno won an Oscar for her portrayal of the iconic character in 1962. DeBose’s acceptance speech and outfit left everyone speechless. Her Valentino red suit was a perfect way to stand out and stand up for her communities.

“To anybody who has ever questioned your identity ever, ever, ever, or you find yourself living in the gray spaces, I promise you this: There is indeed a place for us.” - Ariana DeBose

Jessica Chastain

Chastain won Best Leading Actress at The Academy Awards this year for her performance of Tammy Faye in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye.” Her rose gold Gucci dress with the lavender skirt and tulle, along with her chandelier style earrings, were stunning on the red carpet.

“It connects us all in the desire that we want to be accepted for who we are, accepted for who we love, and to live a life without the fear of violence or terror. And for any of you out there who do in fact feel hopeless or alone, I just want you to know you are unconditionally loved for the uniqueness that is you.” - Jessica Chastain

Zendaya

Zendaya’s movie “Dune” won Best Music, Cinematography, Visual Effects, Production Design, and Film Editing. Arriving in a Valentino Haute Couture outfit, her look as well as the movie were showstoppers. She paired her dazzling skirt and top with bold silver jewelry.

Timothée Chalamet

Also an actor in “Dune,” Timothée Chalamet’s look was striking with a Louis Vuitton tux bedazzled with Cartier gems and lined with lace. His pendant necklace and rings finished off the sensational outfit.

Jada Pinkett Smith

Smith, along with Will Smith, was the talk of the Oscars for many reasons. However, we will just highlight her outfit in this article. Her choice of this ruffled emerald gown is a stunning choice for her husband’s win for Best Leading Actor.

Kristen Stewart

The outfit everyone keeps talking about is Kristin Stewart’s Chanel suit and black shorts. Her hair parted to the side with the unbuttoned shirt is exactly the edgy style the Oscars needed this year.
