Is Modest Actually Hottest Now?
With full coverage clothing becoming trendy, We at The Edge have been loving pieces that can be worn anywhere. While you might not consider them “modest,” we think it’s interesting that skimpier, skin-tight clothing is fading and baggier, long clothing is on the rise. We’ve put together a few examples of some stylish full-coverage pieces!
Long Jean Shorts
We’ve lived through the trend of super short and extremely shredded jean shorts, but now we’ve moved on to more practical jean shorts. The longer and looser “dad” style jean shorts are perfect for a night out or to go with a casual class outfit. We love the Parker Long Short from AGOLDE. They hit at all the right places and are currently on sale on Revolve. They’re not your mom’s Bermuda shorts, but she might want to steal yours.
Sweat Shorts
While comfy shorts have been a class outfit favorite for a while, we love the longer-length sweat shorts. They provide a classier look, while still giving us the same comfortability of pajama shorts. These sweat shorts from DSG are super comfy and have enough structure to wear out and about.
Baggy Jeans
While baggy jeans have been around for a while, we’ve seen their popularity rise due to the decline in the popularity of skinny jeans. We love seeing the huge variety of outfits that can be created with a pair of baggy jeans. Throw them on with an oversized t-shirt and head to class, or dress them up with a fun tank top for a night out. These eco-friendly baggy jeans from Pac Sun are the perfect pair to add to your wardrobe.
Oversized Sweaters
We’ve talked a lot about pants trends, so we can’t fail to mention one of our favorite new tops. Oversized sweaters have always been a fall staple, but this year we’re excited to see the comeback of cozy sweaters. Specifically, striped sweaters are on our fall favorites list. This striped Zara sweater is such a great staple for both your fall and winter wardrobe.
These baggier pieces are perfect for everyday wear or going out. We can't wait to see which pieces you add to your wardrobe this fall!
