Summer Staples for Fall Fashion
Fall is finally upon us, and we couldn’t be more excited! In celebration of the first day of fall being yesterday, we thought it would be a good idea to start brainstorming outfits. Here at The Edge, we are all about using your clothes to the MAX while still making your pieces look fresh and unique. Summer style had a great run while it lasted, and we are bound and determined to keep our favorite pieces around for at least another month. So, here are some ways we have decided to recycle and re-style some of our favorite summer pieces.
Jean Skirts

We thought jean skirts had taken their last breath circa 2014, but no; they live again! A new surge of jean skirts has become a main event in many people’s closets this summer, and we are excited to see them paired with fall apparel. Pairing them with a light sweater and loafers gives them the perfectly cute and preppy look. Or, pair them with these boots for added autumn flare.

Ah, where would we be without ‘em? The simplest way to make yourself look put together in the summer CAN be transitioned into your fall closet! Channel your inner Taylor Swift and add a cute cardigan over top. Put some platform boots on and you’ve got yourself a cute and simple outfit for a cooler day out on the town!
Cargo Pants

It was one of the most beloved pieces of this summer, and we aren’t ready to let them go. Thankfully, they are pants, so we can recycle them into fall. Instead of pairing THE corset with them (you know which one we’re talking about), go for a slightly cropped turtleneck! This keeps the low-waisted look that you want but adds a liiiiiittle bit of warmth too.

The uniform swimsuit coverup? In the fall? You heard us right. Surprisingly (we’re hoping you hear the sarcasm), button-downs can indeed be used for more than just layering over a bikini. A great way to start moving it into your fall wardrobe is to pair it with some cute slacks and sneakers for an elevated-yet-casual look. Add a baseball cap because why not (just FYI, Harry Styles also went to Sweet Pickle Books in NYC—we made it trendy)!!
