Top 5 Pairs of Elevated Sweatpants
I don’t know about you, but we would rather wear a pair of sweatpants than anything else. Sadly, though, we live in a society where one is expected to dress the part; in this case, the part is just looking a little put together. We also live in a society where every day is becoming a fashion show, which we love. We love creating outfits and dressing up, but there’s one problem. We’re human. We get tired. We want to feel relaxed, but this high fashion, always looking your A-Game lifestyle is tiring. We just happen to have the solution! Here are our top five favorite pairs of elevated sweatpants, so you can feel your best while still dressed to impress.
Talentless Womens French Terry Lounge Pant
To begin, we have the Talentless Women's French Terry Lounge Pant. This pair looks very similar to Brandy Melville's wide-leg sweats but comes in sizes XS to XL. At the Edge, we will always favor size-inclusive over limited-size brands because all bodies are different, and we know that. These sweats come in black or white and are made from lightweight, french terry cotton. For $79, these pants provide comfort and a modern feel due to the simple coloring. We also want to point out the waistband, which can provide a low-waisted wear if you wants to style the pants that way!
Alo Yoga Accolade Straight Leg Sweatpants
Next, we have the Alo Yoga Accolade Straight Leg Sweatpants retailing for $108. Knowing the brand, this price makes sense and we’re not mad about it because we know Alo Yoga provides great quality. The sweats come in seven sizes ranging from XXS to 2XL, which is amazing inclusivity-wise, so kudos to Alo. This pair also comes in two core colors and eight beautifully limited colors. The waistband provides a tie, so you can loosen and tighten the pants to your liking. Lastly, the fabric that is taking this article by storm—the soft french terry material—provides maximum comfort, whether you’re out on the town or watching a movie at home.
The Aerie Skater Wide Leg Pant
Not only did the Aerie Skater Wide Leg Pant earn me several compliments when I wore them last week, but they also provided me with a maximum amount of comfort while attending lectures. The pants are originally $59.95 but are currently on sale for $35.97, so grab them while the sale lasts! The sizes range from XXS to XXL, with long and short-length sizes as well. We’ve got to give it to Aerie for winning the most size-inclusive brand we have yet to experience. The pants are offered in four earth tones and are made from their signature “throw back fleece”, which gives the pants a lived-in feel right when you purchase them.
The Free People Movement Summer Tide Pants
The beautiful Free People Movement Summer Tide Pants retail at $88. Ranging in sizes XS to XL, this pant is a staple that everyone needs. Not only does this pair come at a good price, but it also comes in four beautiful colors: black, white, orange and blue. The pants come with a drawstring waistband, so you can fit the pants to your liking. Lastly, the 100% cotton fabric is great, whether you throw the pants on post-workout, lounge around in them, or do absolutely anything else.
The Rag and Bone Miramar Wide Leg: Trompe L'oeil Cotton Pant
Last but certainly not least, my favorite pair of pants that I have ever owned: the Rag and Bone Miramar Wide Leg Pants. From the outside, you would think these are just jeans, right? Wrong! Quoting directly from the Rag and Bone website, the pant “really does look like denim. Really feels nothing like it.” Combining comfort and quality to create a chic fit does come at a hefty price in this case. The pants are sold for $250, which, we know, is not ideal for a college student’s budget. This specific pair comes in two colors—one light wash, and one dark, as well as sizes ranging from XS to L. Beauty is pain, and this pair will put a dent in your wallet, but if you can save up and splurge, we advise you to drop these bad boys in your Rag and Bone cart. Or, if you can, add them to your holiday wish list ;).
