The Gift of Wellness

Temperatures are dropping, the semester’s come to a close and the holidays are inching closer each day. Whether you’re curating your own wishlist or shopping for the perfect gifts for your friends and family who “don’t need anything,” here are some ideas that are budget and wellness-friendly all in one.

WELLNESS TEA SAMPLE PACK

$25 for a pack of 10 teas

This Tea Forte Herbal Retreat sample pack on Amazon is all about well-being, featuring five different tea flavors: Apricot Amaretto, Blueberry Merlot, Cherry Cosmo, Kiwi Lime Ginger and Mojito Marmalade.

While the cost is a bit of a price jump from your usual tea options on the Target shelves, we say it’s worth it for the aesthetic packaging and unique flavors you can’t find just anywhere. Plus, Tea Forte promises their rejuvenating, caffeine-free herbal teas will “relax the mind and soothe the spirit” and “retreat to a place where restorative calm and peace are found.” We at The Edge can’t think of many things that sound better than that!

Tea Forte has a variety of other tea sample boxes, including the Chakra Collection, Warming Joy and a botanical-inspired assortment called Jubilee.

ICE ROLLER

Prices range from $6.99 to $21.99

It’s no secret that ice rollers were the jade rollers of 2023, so this is the perfect gift for anyone who has yet to hop on the train. They can be found practically anywhere including Ulta, Target or Amazon. But if you don’t know where to begin with all the options, this $18.99 roller by ESARORA was named the top pick of 2023 by Cosmopolitan

This de-stressing routine is recommended by both dermatologists and therapists, with benefits like reducing morning puffiness, tightening and calming the skin, improving lymphatic fluid circulation and shrinking pores. What more could you need?

WELLNESS LOLLIPOPS

Pack of nine for $18

We at The Edge had never heard of this natural take on the classic sweet treat until scrolling through Uncommon Goods, a unique and creative gift site. The pack comes with two different flavors: “The Immunity Entourage,” made with a simple list of ingredients including elderberry, ginger, cinnamon and astragalus, and “The Nine Lives,” which is made with a blend of adaptogenic mushrooms like reishi, chaga, lion’s mane, maitake and cordyceps.

Each pop also has a positive mantra like “You Are Strong” or “You Are Effervescent” written along the stick — an extra cute bonus to remind your gift receiver of just how great they are! Many of the reviews mention how they enjoy popping these in their mouth when they feel a sore throat or cold coming on.

SCENTED THERAPY DOUGH

$15 each

Also found on Uncommon Goods, this Análú Therapy Dough is a “top customer pick” with 151 4.5-star reviews. Offered in four different scents — eucalyptus, lavender, orange and North Woods Pine — this squishy, aromatherapy dough is like the adult version of PlayDoh, making it the perfect gift of nostalgia and relaxation.

The product creators modeled their dough after clay used by art therapists, infused with oils known to relieve stress and a texture perfect for fidgeting and releasing tension.

Origins Face Mask Set

Pack of five for $20

Shopping for skincare for others is a difficult task. What type of skin do they have? What makes them break out? This Origins face mask sample set from Ulta offers a little bit of everything with five of Origins' best-selling masks so your gift-receiver can test it all out and find their perfect skin-saver for the winter.

The set includes the Original weekly retexturizing mask with rose clay, Drink Up Intensive overnight mask made with avocado and glacier water, Clear Improvement weekly mask with active charcoal to cleanse pores, Out of Trouble 10-minute mask for problem skin, and GinZing, a glow-boosting mask that’s rubbed in and left on the skin.

Sensory Immersion Gift Set

$19.99

Even Target is in-tune with the wellness gift trend, offering this sensory immersion gift set complete with essential oils, a miniature diffuser for on-the-go and a “grounding stone” for fidgeting and sensory-soothing.

As the website describes it, this kit is the “perfect gift for the person who has everything.” Plus, it comes complete in a box for an added presentation aspect and eliminates the hassle of wrapping it yourself.

Superfood Smoothie Bombs

Pack of five boosters for $14

Here’s another unique stocking-stuffer or gift exchange option we have a feeling no one else will be showing up with this year! These smoothie booster bombs, offered in three flavors, can be added to any classic smoothie for extra flavor and nutrients.

The gluten-free and vegan flavors offered include peanut butter, super berries and super greens. If you’re like us and are unfamiliar with the concept of a smoothie bomb, all you have to do is crumble up the little booster into your milk of choice, add any additional fruit and blend away.

Did you end up buying one of these gifts? Have you heard of other health and wellness-focused gifts? We’d love to hear from you @thedgemag on Instagram.
