A Sunday Reset for 2024

A new year can mean a lot of new things. This year, we at The Edge encourage you to do a Sunday reset to get ready for the upcoming year. Coincidentally, the last day of 2023 is a Sunday!

What is a Sunday Reset?

The term came from TikTok and grew wildly popular when more and more people shared their reset routines. A Sunday reset is setting aside time on a Sunday to get personal and household chores done before the tasks of the coming week start to pile up.

What should I do for my Sunday Reset?

Tidy Up

Vacuum, dust and get rid of all the clutter! A clean space can represent a clean mind, and the best way to start the new year is with a clean slate, so having your space reflect that can only help. If you need somewhere to start, try tackling the infamous “laundry chair” (the chair where your clean laundry goes before you put it away in your closet). Cleaning out your refrigerator and pantry is a spot where not many people think to clean. A glance at expiration dates, a fresh smell and just a general wipe-down should do the trick!

Go grocery shopping

Having a fully stocked fridge is the key to success for the new year. When grocery shopping, try and pick five different fruits and vegetables to have some cleaner food. Don’t forget to get your favorite comfort foods for those cozy nights in. The year 2024 is all about balance, especially in our diets

Change your bedding

Your bed is your sanctuary. Keeping it clean and cozy can only help you start the new year off right. Try and add a cozy blanket, a favorite stuffie or some extra pillows for some flair. By making your bed at the start of your day, you’ve already accomplished one task, setting you up mentally for success.

Everything shower

An everything shower done right can feel like heaven on Earth. There are three phases: pre-shower, shower and post-shower. Studies show that showers help promote immune health and personal hygiene. Hot showers can lower body tension, reduce stress and reduce anxiety. On the other hand, cold showers can increase metabolism, reduce pain and improve your overall mood. A nice mix of hot and cold showers can boost your hygiene routine! You can also add eucalyptus to your shower to boost relaxation.

All of us here at The Edge wish you a happy and healthy new year!
