If you didn’t already know, we at The Edge are huge reality TV junkies. There are definitely your classics, like “The Kardashians,” “The Jersey Shore” and “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” that you anticipate watching weekly, but we can assure you that you will want to add these new additions to your rotation. It’s time to relax and unwind. Pour yourself that glass of wine, get some friends together and treat yourselves to these awe-worthy, captivatingly awesome reality shows, spanning across a variety of different streaming platforms.
Real Girlfriends In Paris (Bravo, Peacock)
This show explores the lives of six 20-something American women navigating dating, work and friendships in Paris. We’re able to get a close look into their daily routines which, of course, involve some drama. There will be heartbreak, confusion, laughs and much more.
Love Without Borders (Bravo, Peacock)
Imagine traveling all the way across the world to find love. These singles, who have been unlucky in love in their own countries, take the leap in hope of finding their perfect match overseas. They explore countries such as Dubai, Panama, Ghana and Ireland and live with a significant other that they matched perfectly with on paper. Will the relationships actually work out, though? That’s for us to know, and for you to watch and find out (wink).
Perfect Match (Netflix)
All your favorites from past Netflix series return to this whirlwind dating show on a quest to find love. You will see some familiar faces such as Francesca from season one of “Too Hot to Handle,” Shane from “Love is Blind,” Nick and Savannah from “The Circle” and so many more. The self-paired couples compete in compatibility challenges each week to determine who will win the title of “the perfect match”. You’re going to want to grab some popcorn for this one, as it’s ADDICTING AF.
Forever Summer: Hamptons (Prime Video)
Though this show is definitely on the more cringe-worthy side of reality TV, it’s definitely worth taking a look into. “Forever Summer: Hamptons” is about young adults who spend their summers out in the Hamptons. The catch? All of them live there year-round besides one character, Ilan. Ilan has a target on his back from the very start and must navigate making friends with this rather unwelcoming group. Watch as Avery, Ilan, Emelye, Reid, Frankie and others mature throughout the summer while exploring relationships with one another and finding their independence.
Love Trip Paris (Freeform, Hulu)
Another show that’s set in Paris, “Love Trip Paris” focuses exclusively on dating and sexual identity. Four American women are put to the test to find a romantic connection. There are two heterosexual females, while the others are lesbian and transgender (who is also bisexual). Each week, a new group of men and women are brought in to try to develop connections with these women. At the end of each week, the women must choose who they want to stay and continue developing a relationship with and who they want to say au revoir to. New episodes air Tuesdays on Freeform and Hulu.
MILF Manor (TLC, Discovery+)
Last but most certainly not least is “Milf Manor.” This show is probably one of the hardest, cringiest reality shows to watch, but the level of entertainment and drama it provides is unmatched. Watch as moms in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s date each other’s sons in their 20’s and 30’s; yes, you heard that right. The concept is quite disturbing and unique, but hey, it makes for some good reality television, right?
We hope this list is intriguing enough to encourage you to want to relax and enjoy some new binge-worthy series. If you decide to try any of these shows out, be sure to send in your reviews to @theedgemag on Instagram. Happy watching!
