Law Roach: The Stylist Behind the Most Legendary Looks
Law Roach, a well-renowned celebrity stylist, announced that he is going into retirement from the fashion industry. Not only did this news shock us here at The Edge, but it was also a bombshell to his celebrity clientele. Some of his most loyal clients were Zendaya, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, Bella Hadid, Keke Palmer and Lindsay Lohan. Roach revealed that he was retiring by saying, “If this business were about clothes, I would do it for the rest of my life, but unfortunately it’s not! The politics, the lies and the false narratives finally got me! You win…I’m out!” We have been in awe of every look Law Roach has produced, so we have decided to break down some of his most iconic looks to date.
Met Gala 2019
Of course, we had to start off this list with a look from the Queen herself, Zendaya. Roach collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger, Lancome and Jacob and Co. to create this magical Cinderella-inspired gown for the 2019 Met Gala. Roach portrayed the fairy godmother as he used a wand to light up Zendaya's dress. The moment went viral on social media and is still accredited as “camp.”
Grammys 2020
When you search for Ariana Grande on Google, the first photo that comes up is this photo of her wearing this custom-made Giambattista Valli gown that was styled by Roach. This is hands-down one of Grande’s most infamous looks and is still praised by Grande’s fan base!
