Our 2023 Summer Reads

It can be hard to jump into new hobbies after the end of a hectic school year. We here at The Edge want you to have a summer filled with ease and good reads. Here are some books that we think should be on the top of your summer reading list this year:

World-renowned Hollywood actress Evelyn Hugo seeks out amateur journalist Monique Grant to write her biography. As Monique learns the ins and outs of old Hollywood, she becomes intrigued by the world of Evelyn Hugo as dark truths begin to unfold. 

Happy Place by Emily Henry

Emily Henry is back with one of the most anticipated books of the year. “Happy Place” tells the story of ex-couple Harriet and Wyn who fake their relationship to keep the peace on a trip with their close friends. As they withhold the truth from their friends, old wounds are uncovered.

From Scratch: A Memory of Love, Sicily, and Finding Home by Tembi Locke

 Set across three summers in Sicily, “From Scratch” tells the cross-cultural love story of a       young American woman who falls in love with a Sicilian Chef. This true story has also been adapted into Netflix’s TV show “From Scratch,” starring Zoe Saldana.
