Girls Love Fur
The winter chill is coming to Elon and we at the Edge are awaiting the return of the fur coat. We all know that girls love fur and ladies, now is the time to wear some. Whether it is on a coat, purse or hat, fur has become the new casual.
With influences such as Carrie Bradshaw and Charlotte York, it is no wonder that we have a taste for all things fur. If there is anything that Carrie has taught us it's that fur coats are a new casual and the perfect addition to our winter wardrobes. We at The Edge are inspired by Charlotte’s colorful purple fur coat in Sex and the City’s “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and we need to emphasize that fur can be a pop of color. While we may not be trying to see the new Yankee, we can still take our colorful coats to town. The Pink fur coats, whether they are long or short, have taken over. The pink coat is all you need and nothing more. Pair it with a white top, black skirt or black pants, and have the coat speak for yourself. Either slick your hair back or have a blowout to achieve the bombshell look. You don’t need a pair of Manolo Blahniks to be Carrie Bradshaw this winter, just throw on your favorite fur jacket and hit the town.
She’s Kate Moss and we absolutely worship the ground she walks on. Who wouldn’t want to be a rockstar and rock an animal print fur coat? Even if you were not a cheetah this Halloween you have probably heard that animal print is back and better than ever. Once again we are reminding you that fur does not have to be bland. A leopard print fur jacket is the statement piece of the season. Rock it with a little black dress when you go out with your girls. If Kate Moss has worn it, then it is a fashion success. Even though it is not the early 1990s, Kate Moss continues to shape fashion even in the 2020s.
Now for our Queen Hailey Beiber. If you do not have a Rhode Peptide Lip Tint, then we urge you to get on board. Hailey Beiber is all the rage now with her skincare brand Road. She has been the mother of many trends this past year and is many girls' greatest influence from the media. This fall Hailey wore a cow print fur jacket while on a night out with Justin, proving that this trend has been Hailey-approved. We cannot help but wonder if she is bringing back cow prints this winter. Keep your eyes peeled ladies.
While animal prints and bright colors can be fun, there is nothing classier than a brown, black or white fur coat. They remind us of luxury in every way. Whether you are going out to a nice dinner or leaving your dorm for an adventure, channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw grab a fur coat and immediately look put together. The fur coat in our opinion is the It Girl Coat for the finale of 2024. Not only are they soft, they are downright gorgeous.
We love fur and in the fashion world, there are other ways to wear it than just coats. A little bit of fur can make your winter look chic and cozy.
Keep your lipstick bundled up this winter with a fur bag. Even Lululemon is hopping on the fur trend with their Quilted Grid Tote Bag Mini 5L Plush Fleece. It comes in our favorite Lululemon color: Strawberry Milkshake. You can hold it by the handle or attach the straps and wear it crossbody. If you want to look classic then we suggest a brown fur bag with gold on it. Now who can say no to a fur hat or boots? If you are really feeling chilly then we suggest going all out. A cheetah print fur hat to match a cheetah print coat will have you looking expensive and stunning. Of course, you can always wear the hat alone to make a statement. The fur hats are coming back and we suggest having a coat to match. Fur boots, on the other hand, can be very stylish as long as they are done right. Now we aren’t talking about the 2000s fur boots, we are talking about a fur trim or those that cover the leg allowing for leather from the ankle down.
Fur can be used as the perfect winter accessory. Style it however you want and make a statement this winter. We at the Edge challenge you to make Kate Moss, Hailey Beiber and Carrie Bradshaw proud this winter. XOXO The Edge.
