Brighten Your Smile!

Ways to Prevent

Before we explore some safe methods for teeth whitening there are also ways to brighten your smile even before additional treatments.

There are many different beverages that can leave your teeth stained. A couple of the most common and harmful products are coffee and tea which may feel good on the taste buds but can negatively affect your teeth with its darker pigment that can stain teeth yellow over time.

While these can stain your teeth there are ways to reduce staining so you can still enjoy these beverages. We recommend adding a straw to your drink because straws cause the liquid to move past your teeth and block them before the coffee and tea even get the chance to stain your teeth.

On top of using straws aiming to brush your teeth around thirty minutes after drinking coffee and tea takes away the residue before it settles into your teeth and causes staining.

Toothpaste is essential in oral health and can also serve as a great use in teeth whitening. Toothpaste brands have introduced their own lines of kinds of toothpaste with special formulas made to pander to whitening. Look out for stand-out ingredients like sodium fluoride and abrasive whiteners which are commonly silica and chalk

Whitening Strips

While practicing good dental health there are extra treatments that can further illuminate your smile. Teeth Whitening strips essentially are peroxide based strips that go directly on both sets of teeth and combat any staining.

It is highly recommended to follow the instructions given on the box of the brand you choose when it comes to things like applying and when to remove. Generally we advise to tey and not keep the stip on for over an hour to stop any increase of tooth sensitivity.

Whitening pens

Similar to strips whitening pens are also designed to fight stains but instead of strips, these pens are equipped with a soft brush that paints of a gel with resembling ingredients. When it comes to using the pen less is more which means you only need a small amount brushed onto a tooth at a time. Unlike whitening strips, the product is only ment to stay on for a couple minutes before rinsing.

Both the whitening strips and pen are recommended to be used daily for the quickest and brightest results.

For the best results with whitening pens and any other teeth whitening remedy refrain from eating or drinking for around an hour so the product can best set into the teeth.
