Sipping apple-cider vinegar in their Texas kitchen for gut-health relief, husband and wife Allison and Stephen Ellsworth longed to incorporate a taste-bud-friendly beverage into their diet.
After mixing fruit juice, apple cider vinegar and insulin prebiotics, Mother Beverage was born. First discovered by Whole Foods at the Dallas Farmers Market in 2016, Mother Beverage popped onto the shelves of many Texas Whole Foods locations, and within their first year of business, Mother had $500,000 in sales with minimal marketing costs. But it wasn't until the help of SharkTank investor Rohan Oza, who funded the rebrand by changing the name to “Poppi” and assisted in the retail store sell-out across the country.
But why is this soda spin-off the latest craze? In five grams of sugar and 25 calories, the gut-friendly prebiotics in Poppi’s liquid mixture allow you to push the guilt and discomfort to the side and enjoy the flavors of soda. Located nationwide in grocery stores and online retailers like Amazon, it’s easier than ever to fall in love with Poppi and its benefits.
Poppi’s social media following has been fizzing with success. From celebrities like Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner and Olivia Munn to Poppi’s “The Future of Soda is Now” Super Bowl LVIII commercial, it’s safe to say that we’re all being influenced to have a can in hand!
As the brand continues to grow, so do their flavors. The traditional tastes of Poppi, which include Raspberry Rose, Strawberry Lemon, Cherry Limeade, Orange, Ginger Lime, Watermelon, Grape, Doc Pop, Classic Cola and Root Beer, are now joined by their limited edition flavors Cranberry Fizz and Wild Berry.
