Meet Melissa Wood-Tepperberg, your newest motivator. As her authentic energy lights up the wellness industry, it’s safe to say she’s every health guru's “it” girl. Best known for her health and wellness platform, Melissa Wood Health (MWH), she blends her pilates practice, expertise in nutrition and motivational meditations to create a one-stop shop for subscribers. To Wood-Tepperberg, it’s more than building a better body, it’s about building a better you.
Before her career as a yoga and pilates instructor and a certified health coach, Wood-Tepperberg showcased her energetic light through her career as an actress and model. As she overcame an eating disorder and a negative relationship with herself, her journey toward self-acceptance and recovery allowed her to turn fear into force. Honing in on her health and wellness platform after the birth of her son, Benjamin, MWH was officially launched in 2015.
As Wood-Tepperberg began to showcase her workouts online, she shared that results are possible from low-impact and highly effective bodyweight workouts, not long hours in the gym. Her pilates-style workouts are designed to sculpt and lean the body, all in 30 minutes or less. Her nutritious and simple recipes, meditation lessons and podcast episodes add an additional layer to building a better mind and body.
Wood-Tepperberg’s program became the answer for many Americans, particularly women, looking to lean into at-home workouts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to this influx of business, her brand evolved in 2022.
At first, Wood-Tepperberg was advertising her platform on her personal Instagram page and was the only fitness instructor, but to accommodate the growing demands of customers, Wood-Tepperberg created @melissawoodhealth on Instagram and was joined by seven other instructors to assist in the expansion of fitness, lifestyle, food, diet and beauty content.
Wood-Tepperberg’s success is credited to her deep and devoted passion for helping others. As she often talks about her previously negative relationships with exercise, food and alcohol, her inspiring story and radiating presence inspire many to create meaningful and long-lasting habits. From a passion project to a wellness empire, Wood-Tepperberg demonstrates that the lifestyle you crave is within reach, all you have to do is move with heart to achieve it.
