Concert Etiquette How-To
A concert is one of the best and most fun things a person can go to. The excitement of securing tickets, the planning of outfits and travel, walking into the venue, seeing the artist you bought tickets for actually show up at the show they were planned to play… it’s a feeling like none other.
So let’s make it nice for everyone!
Ways to improve concert etiquette:
Getting there when doors open > queuing
Alright. This may be controversial but queuing at 3am for an 8pm show is cray… lets be more chill and eliminate unneeded stress! But if we are queuing, let’s remember to be respectful to both the venue & their rules and also to other fans also choosing to queue! The excitement is great, but remember to take care of yourself and know that you don’t have to queue at the break of dawn to have a good time.
No cuts, no buts, no coconuts!
Let’s be fun fans!!! No liar liar pants on fire around here. The most annoying thing at a concert is finally getting your spot, enjoying the view an someone pushing by you because ‘their friend is up there’. No. If your friend is there, have them wave, but let’s not lie! And let’s also not push. People in standing room only shows are getting prettttty comfortable with each other, sometimes standing shoulder-to-shoulder, so when one person pushes, we all get pushed.
Judgement-free zone!
At the end of the day, everyone battled to get tickets, loves the performer and is super excited to be there. Rather than seeing the rest of the crowd as a challenger, think of them as a community! Who knows… you might make some new friends!
Things to have at a concert (in a clear, 12 x 6 x 12 bag…):
Portable charger
Hair ties
Lip gloss
Digital camera
Extra tote for merch!
At the end of the day, a concert is so, so, so fun. So let’s remember to be a little nicer so that we can all enjoy our night on the town.
