Lazy Girl’s Guide To Denim Trends: Spring Style Guide

After a long winter that teased us with random streaks of sunshine in the middle of February, it’s safe to say that springtime ­— and spring trends — has been long overdue. One trend that has continued to prove itself this season is denim.

Instead of praising a singular fit of jeans this spring, iconic denim trends from past decades have resurfaced and with more options than ever before. From embellishments to fringed patchwork, there are options available for every denim-lover out there. Being someone who appreciates style but also comfort (okay, mostly comfort), here are some of my favorite Spring outfits featuring the latest Denim trends,

1. Patchwork & Two Tones

Mismatched denim & patterns have been huge this season, especially in the world of jeans. This trend is perfect for making a bold statement with a simple addition in detail, and will instantly dress up that old t-shirt you have laying around.
 

2. White Distressed Fringe

Fringe Denim is the perfect combination of the ankle-cut and flare jean! I personally love the white distressed look because it incorporates the edge of a blue jean along with the simplicity of white denim.

3. Denim on Denim

This trend has earned a bad rap in years past, but this season it has made a major comeback.  With a range of shades and cuts available, it’s easy to add dimension to any outfit. As intimidating as this trend may be, don’t be afraid to dress up your denim with a statement accessory like a chunky pair of heels or bold lip.

4. Embroidered & Embellished

Whether it’s fitted, cropped, a jean-jacket or denim purse, embellished denim with intricate embroidery is an easy way to add a little something extra to your everyday look. This 70’s inspired trend adds a handmade touch and adds the perfect pop of color for spring.

5. Cropped Flared

Also known as the “Kick Flared”, this style of denim is both retro and modern. These jeans are perfect for showing off a platform sandal or simple sneaker, and come in all shapes and sizes. Dress them up with a leather crop top or simply tuck in an oversized tee and you're good to go!
