On The Edge: Elon Trendsetter Greta Bollmeier

Greta Bollmeier is a sophomore at Elon University, and her day to day outfits make her a certified trendsetter in my eyes. I wanted to sit down with her and learn about her style, and also dish on all things fashion.

How do you describe your style?

I like statement pieces but also cool, casual pieces I can wear again. Lately, I’ve been shopping for a lot of cool pants.

Who are your fashion icons?

Honestly, I don’t really have any particular fashion icons. I like seeing in catalogs, online, or store Instagram pages the ways brands pair pieces together and also just trendy Instagrammers.   

What is your favorite trend this fall?

This season I’m really into the new trend of everyone wearing yellow. I had never really worn yellow before but I’ve been loving it lately. In addition, short black boots because they are so easy to wear with everything.

What are your favorite online stores?

I love your classic Urban Outfitters and Free People, but also the Forever 21 branded clothes are some of my favorites. Princess Polly and ASOS often have really good pieces as well.

What is a fashion trend you will never wear?

I would personally never wear Yeezy sneakers with a dress, or yeezy sneakers at all. I just don’t think they would look good on me!

Summer or fall styles?

I love summer styles but I always get excited for fall because I love layering and I feel like there are more shoe options.
