The Next Big Thing: Food Halls

Whether you live in a small town or a big city, food halls are on the rise. More and more areas are adapting to the idea of having different vendors in one single building. It stops a family outing from ending in a fight about whether to have Mexican or Sushi — everyone gets to eat what they want.

In Raleigh, Morgan Street Food Hall opened in August and business has skyrocketed. There are currently about 20 vendors who each have their own signature touch on a particular type of cuisine.

If you decide to visit Morgan Street Food Hall, here are a couple things you need to know. There is only seating for 350 people and believe it or not, that fills up pretty quickly. If you don’t do some research before walking into this massive building, you will be overwhelmed with all the options. Try to narrow it down before arriving so you are ready to fight your way through all the people to the vendor. Parking on Morgan Street is very chaotic, so make sure to go a couple of minutes before opening to secure the best parking spot. If you are a person that has trouble with being on time, there is a public parking lot only a couple of blocks away.

Not only can you get some scrumptious food, but there is a flower cart and even a beef jerky cart. Take some time to walk around and see the unique vendors and carts. Lastly, enjoy yourself!
