The Indulgence of Textures This Holiday Season

Believe it or not, but the holiday season is approaching, and approaching fast. The holidays are a time in our lives to take a break from chaos of everyday life and spend time with family and friends.  




Part of what makes holidays so special is the atmosphere they bring. Sit down to Thanksgiving dinner in sweats and it feels like an everyday dinner, but dress a little chic and it feels like a special occasion. The ways we dress for holidays shapes our experiences tremendously. With the stress of the family dinners, holiday parties, and the actual holiday itself, there comes the stress of what to wear. Don’t worry, there are lots of different ways to stand out this holiday season! From velvet jackets to sequin dresses, here are just a few ways to look festive.

1.Metallics--The ultimate neutrals for the holiday party are metallics. Yes, there are lots of way to make this shiny metallic look awesome on you, but do keep in mind with this type of material a little can go a long way. Focus on a bold piece to complete your outfit, rather than creating an entire metallic look. There’s no way this texture won’t win you best dressed at the holiday party.

2. Tis the Sequins’-- When you are wearing sequins, it is certain that all eyes are on you. That’s what we want, right? Similar to wearing metallics, you don’t want to go overboard with this shimmer; you want all eye on you for the right reasons. Wearing sequins is a bold choice, so they are fit for a bold and confident girl! Feel strong in your sequin shine and overpower the star on the tree this year.

3. Velvet--Velvet is the perfect fabric for the holiday season because it makes any look instantly fancier! From shoes, to dresses, to purses, there is a always a way to throw in velvet. A velvet statement piece, while also being comfortable,will turn heads at holiday parties.


What better way to feel special than when you look your best? We know that not all holiday parties are alike. Some might be with the love of family or comfort of friends, but whatever you do for the holidays, we want you to feel special.  With the indulgence of these different textures over the holiday season you have plenty of flexibility to make your holiday look one for the books!
