A Poem for Fall
Fall has finally graced us with its presence, so it's time to pack up the flip-flops and bathing suits and pull out our sweaters and candles.
Waking up feels much colder. A breeze in the air and leaves in our hair, where did long summer nights go? It gets dark much earlier. The harsh morning light beams through my window. Where did the time go? October is red and golden and brown. Filled with papers stacked higher than my eyes. Online orders of dresses we will only wear one night November is close by, I can almost smell the dinner my mom has compiled. Fires turned on at the crack of dawn. Soon the snow will hit the ground, and we won't be able to feel our feet. We always remember December because when it's over we will soon ask, where did the time go?
