Six Plants You Can’t Kill

Placing plants in your dorm room can be a great way to spruce up your space, and can even help make your air cleaner. However, it’s not always easy to remember to water your plants as much as they need it. So for those of you who love plants but don’t have your life together enough to care for one, we’ve got a list of some nearly bulletproof plants you’d have to work really hard to kill.

Cacti and Succulents

Succulents are super aesthetically pleasing and come in a variety of colors and shapes. They require a little bit of sunlight, so they’re perfect to place on your desk or in your windowsill and only need to be watered every one to two weeks.

Air Plants

Air plants are just like succulents, but they grow without soil. You can easily hang them in your window and they’ll be happy in the sunlight. All you need to do to care for them is soak them in some water every ten days to two weeks.

Spider Plants

Spider plants don’t need direct sunlight, so they’re ideal to place on a desk or table to add some green to your room. They also look great if you hang them! Spider plants should be watered every week or so, but they can survive a long time without it if you miss a week.

Ponytail Palm

Ponytail palms are great for purifying the air in your room and are the perfect size to place on a desk or in a windowsill where they can get a little bit of sun. They only need to be watered every week and a half.

Snake Plant

Snake plants have a fun look to them and can live in any kind of light, so you can put it wherever you want in your room or apartment. They just need to be watered once a week.

Aloe Vera Plant

Aloe Vera has a lot of benefits and is also a great addition to your space. These plants need a little bit of natural light but can essentially be put anywhere near a window. You just need to water them every one to two weeks.

All of these plants are very common and could easily be found locally or on Amazon!
