Hot Guy Fall

This summer a trend “hot girl summer'“ was getting the attention of many via social media. The creator of hot girl summer Megan Thee Stallion described it like this: “Just being you, just have fun. It’s turning up driving the boat and not giving a damn about what nobody’s saying.” 

As college students made their way back to campus for the fall semester, many boys took the opportunity to turn hot girl summer into hot guy fall. The trend of HGF quickly spread throughout campus and is popular among Elon University male students. 

“Hot guy fall originated from the return to campus and the beginning of the fall semester,” said a male student at Elon University. “Many of us thought it would be comical to rephrase hot guy fall for the fall semester.” 

Hot guy fall has created bonds between the male students at Elon who were sick of the overwhelming amount of attention hot girl summer was getting. While hot guy fall did not become popular due to a song, it still created a trend that keeps gaining steam. 

“HGF has sharpened the way many of us guys go through our daily routine. Many of us have been adamant about the gym, eating healthy, and work production,” a male Elon student said. “With social media and apps such as snapchat, we also enjoy documenting the ways in which we celebrate hot guy fall, providing motivation to continue our HGF efforts.”
