Airbnb: The New Luxury?
This past year, Airbnb launched its new section, Luxe. Luxe offers extraordinary homes in a variety of destinations, but it comes at a price. With over 100 unique locations to choose from, the options are limitless… but for at least $1,000 a night. According to Airbnb, the average stay per night is around $160, a much more affordable option. So, what's so special about Luxe that makes it this costly?
To start, you can rent out castles or even your own private island. With so many countries to choose from and so many different luxury homes, it’s hard to pick! Each rental has every amenity you could dream of, including your own trip designer and custom itineraries. Airbnb even goes as far as booking you dinners at five-star and Michelin-starred restaurants. Some locations even come with private chefs, drivers, butlers, and more.
Each rental home has a 300-point amenities list to make sure that it's up to luxury standards. The options are endless, from villas in Italy to Chalets in the Swiss Alps to an entire Polynesian Island.
Airbnb also offers cheaper alternatives. There are many hidden gems on Airbnb around the world. Some of the best affordable Airbnb options include a $65 stay in a tree canopy in the Amazon, a jungle stay in Bali with a pool for $75, and a charming Italian Villa in Cisternino, Italy for $85. Always remember: experiences don’t always have to be expensive!
