Halloweekend as Told (and Dressed) by Elon Students
It’s the college equivalent to the first day of school outfit: Halloween costumes. We know some of you have been planning these looks since the first day of September (don’t worry, we did too).
October 31st may be Halloween, but Elon students take the week to stunt out and serve major scary or sexy vibes. So, here we present to you, the Halloweekend lookbook of Elon students
Caroline Saviano - Olivia Jade :
Our Fashion Editor took one for the USC Rowing Team and dressed up as their loyal teammate Olivia Jade. With the college admission scandal on the rise, and becoming more scandalous every day, we can find some humor in this costume of Jade.
Katie Cohen - 50 Shades of Grey
Katie Cohen took the punny approach to the 50 Shades of Grey film. The innocence of the paint samples really distracted us from the handcuffs; we see you Katie!
Liz and Nori - American Goth
Liz and Nori from the Elon Volleyball Team ditched the handcuffs and switched them for a … frame? We love their take on the classic painting, American Goth. Let us know if you can spot the difference!
Addy French, Meghan Cote, Jazmin Bender -The Purge
Here at The Edge, we may not be the biggest fans of horror movies. “The Purge” is pretty horrific to the majority of us. But, this group costume totally changed our opinion. Jazmin Bender, Meghan Cote, and Addy French found inspiration from this iconic film and definitely killed it. They perfectly balanced our typical classic college Halloween elements: sexy, scary, and clever.

This is the perfect way to ensure you can go to a space themed party and a western one all in the same night, we see you party girls!

What says fall, but also says Halloween? That’s right, a pumpkin. Not only will you keep track of your best friend that always wanders off, you have enough room to hit up Tangent or the Root after the day’s festivities.

What happens when you just want to go home at the end of the night, you call your mummy! Okay that was bad, but these costumes sure aren’t. Go off girls!
Kayla Nadot- Angel
How much do we love this angel costume? No pun intended, it looks like it was sent from above.
Kayla Nadot & Ava Salmon- house wife, and flapper
Ava Salmon’s costume is a reminder of why we love The Great Gatsby. This modern take on the flapper style is paired with just the right amount of accessories. The final look makes us think that 1920s fashion needs to revamp and resurge.
Kayla Nadot is no Stepford wife in this housewife-inspired look. She dresses up the classic LBD with fun accessories that turn the costume into an adorable ensemble.
Another Halloweened at Elon down in the books. Since this doesn’t happen once a month (for some odd reason) I guess we will have to wait until next year to recap Elon’s best looks.
