The Truth Behind Canada Goose

As we move into the colder months, winter apparel becomes an absolute need. This is why Canada Goose, the popular winter clothing brand, has become an iconic winter staple. The brand currently has an increased market value of $7 billion and much of that growth is due to the high quality of its products. With this amount of popularity, how could there be any faults?

Some consumers find that the brand produces great outerwear but with a hefty price. With pieces that reach $1000+, the apparel is a serious investment. Though items like the popular Parka jackets continue to sell, the cost can be a deterrent for people who can’t afford to spend.

One of the arguments against this brand is that the only difference between these coats and others is the emblem shown on the right shoulder. Scam artists have even attempted to create a dupe for the notable patch and sell it for consumers to use on basic winter coats. The idea is that since that is the only noticeable difference, the real thing is not necessary.

For those who see no difference, check out this side by side comparison of the real emblem (right) shown on an authentic jacket and a close up of the fake (left):

The real version features an organized logo while the fake displays messy stitching and a different trademark. Those details prove that it does measure up to the original.

Aside from this difference, an authentic Canada Goose jacket is designed differently than the everyday coat.  The jacket incorporates authentic fur from coyotes. While often a source of controversy, this material makes the jacket durable and appealing to winter coat lovers. Dupes for this coat tend to use a less voluminous fur that lacks as much warmth and longevity.

So what do you think? Is the Canada Goose Jacket worth buying or would you rather purchase a similar style elsewhere? Regardless of what you choose, we want you to stay warm throughout the winter season!
