FRIENDS

Friends is about six young twenty-year-olds living in Manhattan. The characters manage to find a special place in just about everyone’s hearts. It’s hard not to get invested after watching the first episode. There is a part of each character that you see them in yourself, and it keeps you wanting more. The comedy that this sitcom creates is a way for us to acknowledge and accept our own failures.

SEINFELD

Seinfeld is highly underrated when it comes to sitcoms. The show is unique because Jerry Seinfeld, the main character, is a comedian. The show starts and ends with bits from his actual  shows. Each of the main characters is so different from the others, and their interactions create such chemistry on screen. It is a show that - once you watch the first episode - you’re automatically hooked. Not only does the show create internal relationships, it also manages to create external relationships with the audience.

THE OFFICE

Last but not least, The Office: one of the most well known sitcoms to date. Viewers find it easy to relate to the diverse personalities this show provides. Taking place in an actual office and being able to create enough drama, comedy, and heartbreaks, is brilliant. Every workplace has a “Michael” or a “Pam and Jim”. The show has found a way to be deep rooted in offices across the nation. The Office brings a sense of self-awareness and identification to not only the characters on screen but also you, the viewer, as well. Each episode comes along with a life lesson with the ability to apply it to your own lifestyle. The famous words of Michael Scott, “I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.”
