The Ultimate Elon Bucket List
The academic year is off to a strong start, and here are some of the things many new students will be trying to check off their bucket lists before the semester’s end. Some of the following items can get students in trouble, so we don’t recommend or advocate doing them. Here’s to tradition!
Jump into a fountain
Whether it’s a daytime risk or a late-night adventure, fountain-hopping becomes more and more popular as spring rolls around every year. But watch out, because professors and other Elon staff are constantly on the lookout for fountain jumpers.
Steal a brick
Stealing a brick from the pathways that cross Elon’s campus has become an informal “tradition” for many students. While it may seem fun, it can also get you in a lot of trouble.
Try all the restaurants on campus
The best restaurants in Elon, NC are on our campus. Make sure to try Tangent’s chicken fried rice, The Root’s truffle fries and Pandora’s dollar slice night.
Hit-up Mcewen’s pasta bar
Make sure to stop by the McEwen dining hall and try the make-your-own pasta bar. They can use any type of veggie, meat or sauce, and even switch your pasta to zucchini noodles.
Oak House coffee
It may be a little pricey for a college budget, but it is totally worth it. If you are lactose intolerant, make sure to try their almond or oat milk. I just started drinking their oat milk and it tastes amazing!
Maker Hub
Last but not least, stop by one of the Maker Hub locations on campus. You can 3D print anything, whether it’s a phone case, a coaster or a spoon. It is a must-try before graduation.
